NOTICE: The Lithuanian Development Agency (LDA) has been restructured into two public organizations - "Invest Lithuania" and "Enterprise Lithuania". The Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Lithuania is the owner of the two new institutions.
Barclays Bank Starts Exploring Business Possibilities in LithuaniaThe Lithuanian Ministry of Economy has signed a Letter of Intent (“LOI”) with Barclays Bank PLC (“Barclays”) to explore the possible establishment of a Barclays Technology Centre in Vilnius, Lithuania. The Lithuanian Development Agency has been assisting Barclays in acquiring necessary information and data on the Lithuanian market as well as establishing a business contact network. Barclays is considering Vilnius as a potential location for a new Technology Centre to support its Global Retail and Commercial Banking activities.
