EBRD Improves Forecast for Lithuania
According to the newest report by European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) the economy of Lithuania will witness the drop of 1 % instead of an earlier forecast of 1.5 % this year, and will grow by 3 % next year (forecast not changed).
New Investment by IDEAL INVENT TECHNOLOGIES in July
The Indian company IDEAL INVENT Technologies Pvt Ltd, specializing in information technologies (IT) in the banking sector, intends to establish a Scientific Research and Technology Development (SRTD) Centre in Lithuania. In the mid-July company signed the letter of intent with the Ministry of Economy.
Lithuania – EU‘s Most Educated Country
91.3 % of the Lithuanian population aged 25 to 64 had a secondary or higher education in 2009, according to the report of the Lithuanian Department of Statistics. This is the highest level of education in the country in a decade and one of the highest in the EU, the average in the EU 27 being around 70 %.
